God came down!

And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the  princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my  people Israel. Matthew 2:6

And she, Mary, brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7

God lowered Himself, through the birth of Christ in the manger, to reach mankind. Just imagine the Creator of the universe.... AMAZING!
No wonder the angels were singing so loud "GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO"... and the shepherds were in AWE!

Blessings of God to you!

Jesus Christ came and will return!

For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.  Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:6,7

Dear friends,
As I write these lines I am greatly moved by the Holy Spirit and stirred in my soul, knowing that Christ has come to set us free from slavery of the powers of darkness and that he will return for His Bride, those who have clothed themselves in white robes without spot or wrinkle, cleansed by His Blood.

Through His birth hope has been presented to mankind. Through his death and resurrection total deliverance has been brought to us, who accepted Him as Saviour and Master. By His soon return He will take us to a mansion prepared for us, and introduce us to the Father. We are orphans and strangers here on earth, but soon will be taken in and recognized by our God and Father. We will come HOME and be united with our Family, after our long journey. We will then sing praises and join the heavenly choir. HALLELUJAH!

What will happen on this planet and the people left behind, when the Holy Spirit has left and satan will rule this earth, is beyond comprehension. The look-warm believers and the not so sincere followers will be in great despair and slaughtered for their faith. The godless will be cursing and crying unto the rocks and hills to cover them. There will be no escape then, as the word of God warns us.

This may not sound like a Christmas message, but we cannot stand still at the crib of Bethlehem. The Bible teaches far more than Salvation through His life. Therefore, I pray that you seek His face and observe what is happening around you and globally.  And that you will prepare yourself to meet the Lord, the soon coming King of kings. Jesus Christ will return at a day and hour, which only the Father knows.

Don't miss out!

Jesus says: "Not they which SAY Lord, Lord, but those that DO the will of My Father in heaven."

In the Parable of the ten Virgins, the five foolish virgins show us that "Being Saved" is not enough to belong to the Bride. The lack of "oil" made them miss out at the end. Those with white washed garments, submission unto the Word of God and filled with the Holy Spirit (as voucher) will be changed in a twinkling of an eye.

The not so "serious" wordly believers put themselves at risk of the Great Tribulation.

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13,14

Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, Who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession - to the praise of His glory. (NIV translation)

Without the power of the Holy Spirit we are nothing, we don't even know how to pray !! Although we may be saved. We have to fight a fierce battle, even in our personal lives, for this we need the infilling of the Holy Spirit as the Apostle Paul explains in 1 Corinthians Chapters 12 to 14.
Others may not see anything wrong with us, but God knows the secret corners of our hearts.

He knows what still needs to be conquered and He makes the Holy Spirit available to us. We cannot say: " We are still human" and that way giving room for error, sin etc. The "Human" in us is exactly that which we need to crucify, for it is the old flesh which wars against the Spirit.

Romans 8:13...For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Therefore, be watchful, I pray.

Discipline!

Through discipline we may be partakers of His holiness. It takes a great deal of discipline to produce a holy character. Holiness is not simply given to us like a gift; it is to be produced in us. God is producing His holiness in us!

A word of TRUTH by Tilla Erasmus Vermeulen

Luke 14:33... whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

John 8:31,32... If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Colossians 3:5... Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

Colossians 3:8... But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Hold on to your conviction and your faith in God!

In the name of the Lord, Almighty,

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

Working out your own salvation

There is maintenance work to be done for a child of God, according to God's word. We are not left as puppets with strings attached.

Salvation comes through the Grace of God, although this is not the end but the beginning of our walk with God. Once we are weaned off "the milk" and eating some solid food, meat and bread, there will be work to be done.

Philippians 2:12-15 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
For it is God which worketh in you both to WILL and to DO of His good pleasure. Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

As we read, it is not without effort on our part if we are scarcely be saved. This "effort" lies in surrendering to the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless the "work" we do in our own life should be done in the power of the Holy Spirit, not in our own strength, or it would be worthless in God's eyes, and we would not benefit by it. Here comes in the denying of self, as Jesus says Himself.

Mark 8:34b Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

Matthew 10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me.

Without the infilling of the Holy Spirit and His Gifts, one would work in his/her own strength.
I did not mention working in our own strength and through our own understanding, motivations, qualifications.. what have you, BUT through the
 HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN.

WHAT IS IT THAT GOD WORKETH??? "God which worketh in you both to WILL and to DO". There you go... TO WILL AND TO DO!!!!

This leaves something for us to DO.

We are fellow labourers/coworkers together with God, according to 1 Corinthions 3:9

This puts part of the responsibility on the child of God. Not that we should, but because we want to be partakers in His work, in our own life first and then as servants in the lives of others.

Ephesians 6:11... Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

The above scriptures require "action".
Always back up your "argument" with the God's word.
As a follower of Christ, who must understand that we are NOT Christ, but Christ living IN us. What God's word tells us is that we need to stay in Christ. Following HIM is action on our part, ANOTHER thing we need to do.
Jesus says, Not they who say LORD, LORD, but who DO the will of my Father.

Since I love God, I WANT to do according to His word, by submitting myself unto the Holy Spirit through whom I (denying the old flesh) crucify the old nature, as Jesus teaches.

Nobody on this earth, has passed this stage of denying the flesh, since we are still living in a non-glorified body. Temptations come daily our way, and we need to react either way. Sin is not done away with, since satan is still the prince of this world we live in. The secret is to live pleasing unto God, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, applying the spiritual Gifts and allowing the Fruit of the Spirit to come forth. 1 Corinthians Chapters 12-14

Some people try to do this differently than the Bible teaches and the such will run aground eventually. Others seem to have skipped a part, thinking that "perfect" has entered already. The such will soon discover that it is different and that they need to battle in the heavenly region applying the armour of God, according to Ephesians 6:13, submitting themselves unto the Holiest of Holy.

Some who're going another route, do not believe what Paul preached concerning the infilling of the Holy Spirit, His Gifts and Fruit.

To live in His perfect will, children of God need to live by Faith in God, have the Holy Spirit within them, with the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit active in their lives. This is the only way we can please the Father, answer His call, live in harmony according to His word, and be conquerors. Any worldliness has to disappear through His power within.

Many are lacking the infilling of the Holy Spirit, which is crucial in our lives, and thus overlook the active part which God requires, even don't recognize the worldliness they are involved with in their daily lives.

Entering into His rest is no effort on my part other than to TOTALLY SUBMIT unto the Holy Spirit and His working, which manifests itself in the Ministry God has called me to do. This "rest" does not mean sitting back with arms crossed, gazing in the "nowhere".

To do the works of God... IS SUBMITTING UNTO THE HOLY SPIRIT, and that includes submitting everything!

Maintenance work needs to be done indeed... through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (as I mentioned), and submission unto the Holy Spirit, WHO IS GOD ALSO. The Gifts and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit become visible through dedication to Him and by the desire to attain these, according to what Paul teaches. He even states to SEEK the Gifts, which is also what we have to do ourselves.

Hopefully, I have made it clear, that followers of Christ do not smoothly float into heaven, and that following Christ is far from effortless. It is an ongoing battle against the enemy of our soul, the old nature within, and maintaining our dedication unto God; abiding in His word and our submission unto His will.

All the battles will be over, once we are in the Promised Land and satan and his followers have been dealt with.

HALLELUJAH!

Move and live through the Holy Spirit, at His prompting.

Be blessed in the Lord, receive His insight in His word and live the life of Overcomers.

Revelation 3:5... He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments and I will not blot out his name from the Book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

Key Scripture

There is a powerful scripture which one can apply for salvation and healing. We cannot go wrong on this Prophetic word. It was fulfilled and available for whoever needs it and wants it. It is done and right here up for grabs.

We don't need to beg God, fast or pray all night... JUST FAITH IN GOD will do, and walk in that faith. Really, believe me. Faith like a child, trusting the Father.

Surely He hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But... He WAS wounded for our transgressions, he WAS bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our pea...ce WAS upon Him; and with His stripes we ARE healed. Isaiah 53:4,5

I know that Satan does not want you to get into the depth of this scripture. God the Father wants you to realize that His word and promises are YEA AND AMEN! It is a very familiar scripture, but the truth of this Prophetic word is all too often skimped over.

Miracles and wonders are: moving mountains, lengthening a withered hand; quieting a storm or roaring sea; a large fish spewing out Jonah; crossing the Red Sea; making water into wine, raising the dead ...etc.

But... Salvation and healing are promises and gifts of God, which we may freely take by faith. AMEN!

Be blessed by His word.

Minister Dr. Trudy Veerman

God answers prayer!

What shall you pray for and how to get your prayer answered.

If we pray according to His word, our prayer will be answered. Only when one doubts, the outcome may be different or undesirable. If one prays not having faith in God, it will be done according to your faith. Thus, no answer to such prayer.

Isaiah 53:5 Tells us that our salvation and healing are secured, if we but have faith in God.

WE RECEIVE ACCORDING TO OUR FAITH, and His promises, whatever we pray for.

Related scriptures:

John 14: 14...
You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

Hebrew 11:1... The prayer of faith will move God on our behalve.

Mark 11:24...
Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you WILL have them.

Luke 11:9....
So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

John 15:7... If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

Some may say what about Paul's prayer to have "the thorn in the flesh removed?" God's response was "My grace is enough for you." "He did not give Paul what he wanted but what was best for him."

My reply:
Concerning Paul, the thorn in the flesh was to keep him humble. He had a great mission to fulfill, as we may read in his epistles. This was an exeptional, and specific situation in Paul's life. Not many of us have ever, or will ever be in Paul's situation of service and have this high calling. So, this example is certainly not for us, unless one claims to have the same calling.

By the way, this thorn in the flesh was NOT a sickness, because it would go against God's word in Isaiah 53:5.

I keep myself to the words of God (many Psalms as witness) and the words of Jesus, as written above.

Each child of God knows his or her own walk with God and knows what to ask for, especially when it comes to personal needs. He who knows the Master knows how to approach Him and how to apply the word of God through prayer and active faith.

In general Christians make an excuse if their prayer is not answered, by saying : "It was not God's will," even if God's word states it to be His will, instead of checking their own heart for error. In such a situation they are making God a liar.

The quoted scriptures speak for themselves and each one is free to apply these on personal life situations. It is a lack of faith when prayers are not answered, as what we can read in the Gospels.

What I am trying to do here is to encourage you to allow faith to work through prayer and action, and reach the heart of God. Faith pleases God, and for us it is the most powerful Gift we can use along with obedience unto His word, to reach the thrown of the Father. AMEN!!

More of Amazing Grace

Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise,
for it was grace that brought my liberty;
I do not know just why He came to love me so,
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary,
to view the cross where Jesus died for me,
how marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul;
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

Indeed... Amazing that God looked beyond my fault, while others pointed at me and found me guilty.

It was my heart's cry that dark hour, when I called upon Christ for forgiveness and cleansing.
I saw Him crucified with blood streaming down His Holy face.
He took my sin and burdens upon Himself and in agony hung on the cross.
I shall always keep this before me, knowing that He didn't came to blame me, but to bring me freedom through His death at Calvary. To reconcile me with the Father.
It is by God's Grace, that I live and have eternal life through His Son.
I can't understand such Love, nevertheless it has become mine as an AWESOME GIFT.
I will share it with whoever crosses my path.
Forever I will praise the name of God, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Glory to His name.
AMEN!

Hold On!

In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. 2 Samual 22:7

Many of us have been despised and rejected by family and friends, when we started to walk the narrow way of faith in Christ. I have suffered for Christ sake, thrown in the pit as Joseph was by his brothers. I've been told that I was weak, since I needed a "stick" to lean on, referring to that I needed Jesus. And in this they were correct, ALL I needed was Jesus, the Christ.

Where are my accusers? I have reached BEYOND and gone ABOVE the earth dwellers. I did break the RECORD by allowing Christ in my life.

PRAISE HIS NAME, for He has been my STRENGTH ALL THE WAY. AMEN!

Hold on for God is with you!

In His service,

I Know Thy Works!

I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
And hast borne, and hast patience, and for My name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Revelations 2:2-5

Here we read that God is not impressed with the Work/Mission/Ministry we do, if it is not done out of our first love for Him.

Remember how thrilled and excited you were when the Lord had found you, and when you experienced how His love and peace overwhelmed you. You hardly could stop praising Him, and you were in total AWE! Your sins were forgiven, you felt cleansed and refreshed, you woke up with a song in your heart and had a smile on your face.

People were wondering what had happened to you, and this gave you an opportunity to tell others about the saving grace of Jesus, the Christ. You were beaming like the sun, because you did find LIVE and that abundantly.

Over the years this deep love and excitement faded away, but you're still in the motion of doing your "ministry". You love the Lord, but it has changed from your FIRST Love.

Even your motives to do God's work, as Jesus commanded, has changed, but apparently not so noticable. The same as the Church of Ephesus didn't notice it, until they received the writing.

They were busy buddies, but their motives shifted. They began laboring through their own human effort, instead of through the Spirit of God.

Doing good works out of your own initiative may benefit others, but is not what God wants you to do. He wants you to labor through your LOVE for Christ; minister as unto Him.

You may do a lot of work; volunteering, visiting the lonely, feeding the poor, donating money to orphans, even preaching God`s word. But if it is not done out of your first love for Christ, it has no value in God`s eyes, and you need to repent according to the Scripture.

Whatever we do for God should not be done to satisfy ourselves, as good works or just as a habit. It should be done out of our first love and being HIS work through us; as a vessel in His hands.

It does not matter what we do or how much we do, but HOW it is done WHATEVER we do for God.
You get that?

Let us pray,

Dear Father,
We come to You, in Jesus name.

We ask You to cleanse us from all unrightiousness and the work we've been doing in vain.
Not realizing that at times our motives are not pleasing unto You.
Thank You for opening our eyes for these little foxes which spoil the vineyard.
Draw us back, I pray, to our first love for our Saviour and Lord.
May our lives glorify Your name, and be a blessing to others.
Not counting ourselves, but to sacrifice our lives for others, and live well pleasing unto You in all we do and say.
I thank You for Your loving kindness and Your patience with each one of Your children. I love you Lord and I am glad to be Yours. Bless those who read this, I pray. AMEN

Thoughts

HOPE... FAITH and LOVE

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Romans 12:14,15 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

Who can stand to be persecuted to death? Only those serving the True God, only those true followers of Christ, those that have layed down their lives from the beginning, who have not counted themselves worthy more than their Master, those whose strength is in the Lord and fear God... but NOT man.

AMEN AND AMEN!!
Are you ready?

What do you think the three men in the fiery furnace went through, not knowing what the outcome would be?

"Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heatedseven times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. So these men were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. The king's command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego." Dan 3:19-23

Joseph was innocent, but was thrown into prison by his master. Genesis 39:12-20

* ~ * ~ * ~ *

Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. Remember His marvellous works that He hath done; His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth; Psalm 105:4,5

Nice to walk together in His footsteps, encouraging each other along the way. Holding hands with the Saviour, and never to let go.
This life is just a "breath", eternal life is "breathing".

Psalm 132:4,5 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids, Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

Blessed be the name of the Lord God.

Confess and Repent

Some may say: "O well, just accept Jesus as your Saviour, and you're fine." Such people bring an incomplete Gospel, with confusion as a result. They have not studied God's word and present an effortless way of salvation, but not what Christ teaches.

Yes, salvation comes free and not by works, but by Grace and by faith in Jesus Christ. Nevertheless salvation needs to be maintained, which is not effortless. One needs to repent from a previous sinful lifestyle, habits etc.

Salvation is just the beginning of one's walk with God.

The Scripture teaches to WORK OUT our own salvation with fear and trembling. I am not saying that one has to earn his/her salvation.

Ours is the daily sacrifice of the sinful self on the cross of Christ. Romans 12:1

According to the dictionary, repent means:

1. be sorry: to recognize the wrong in something you have done and be sorry about it
2. change ways: to feel regret about a sin or past actions and change your ways or habits.
3. ask for forgiveness, be remorseful, atone.

Of course, with confession of sin comes repentance. Turning away from past sins and its temptations is unmistakably necessary. We cannot keep on repeating the same sin. Jesus Himself says to the adulterous women: "Go and sin no more." The word of God speaks for itself.

Luke 13:3...
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Acts 3:19...
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;

1 Timothy 6:11b-12
and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

You are expected to respond to the Scriptures. Prayer alone is not enough, your walk and confession have to run parallel with your prayer.

Walk in Newness of Life

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 16:24,25

We all come to a CROSS ROAD in our life, sooner or later.

It is only through the infilling of the Holy Spirit that one can submit to the requirement of denying the flesh; putting down the old desires, the old way of life, the old patterns that were established before conversion. Take up your cross means then to carry an instrument to crucify "oneself" upon. This does not mean that you have to carry some heavy burden. Taking up your cross reflects bringing to death the flesh.

Ours is the daily sacrifice of the sinful self on the cross of Christ. Romans 12:1

Through the power of the Holy Spirit we can conquer the old nature and live pleasing unto the Father. It is the Holy Spirit who did draw us to the Father, through Christ. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin. He will finish that which he has started in us (if we let Him too).

Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. John 6:53

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. John 12:25

Be blessed in Christ.
